SpediaBar
Usage Policy
1.
Usage of task automation programs
along with the SpediaBar is prohibited and will result in
the locking of your account! We
have exceptionally strict policies in this regard, as the
automated generation of points constitutes theft from our
advertisers, but also negatively affects the value of all
other members' points. The SpediaBar is equipped with cutting-edge,
artificial intelligence-based cheat prevention mechanisms
that will immediately detect task automation programs. Therefore,
we will lock your account for any of the following reasons:
- Usage,
or possession of devices, machines, computers or other equipment
or features for automatic/computerized generation of points
(emulators).
- Usage,
or possession of software that provides automation of repetitive
mouse or keyboard tasks (simulators).
- Usage,
or possession, of programs that attempt to hide or disable
the SpediaBar.
- Modifying
of the SpediaBar application in any way.
- Excessive
clicking on the SpediaBar banner ads. We encourage you to
visit our advertisers that are of interest to you. However,
multiple clicks on the same banner ad, or on separate banners
only for the purpose of accumulating points, represent cheating
and are not tolerated.
- Possession
of more than one account in the same program by one person
(see 2 and 3).
- Usage
of the same account by more than one person.
2.
It is against
our rules for members to have multiple accounts for the purpose
of obtaining referral points. If you are found to have multiple
accounts, which you have used to make cross-references, we
will immediately lock your accounts. Furthermore, you will
forfeit all accumulated point/cash balances and other bonuses.
3. You are allowed to have multiple accounts only
if each of these accounts is in different Get Paid To Use
the Net programs (co-branded sites) of the Spedia Network.
For example, you may have one account here at www.spedia.net,
but also have another account at about.spedia.net, which is
an About-branded Get Paid To Use the Net service administered
by Spedia. You
cannot, however, run the SpediaBar and any other Spedia
technology Bar (such as the About Bar) simultaneously.
4.
We reserve the right to audit and lock
at any time any account which we believe, in our sole discretion,
is utilizing or might be otherwise connected with any of the
above, or other "cheating" and task automation activities.
The account locking is performed
automatically when we audit a selected sample of members.
To simplify the complicated process of auditing all members,
this sample constitutes only users who actually request payment
every month.
5. Any user may appeal his/her
locked account via e-mail. Within a month a human operator
will review the account. Locked accounts are oftentimes reinstated.
6. If the user's membership is
terminated for any reason, the member will forfeit all accumulated
point balances and other bonuses.
7.
Points are granted upon delivery of
advertising content (ad banners), which takes place only when
you request a URL, for a maximum of one point per minute.
8.
Your point accumulation will stop for
the following reasons:
1.
Passive browsing. (You have not changed URL in the
previous minute.) Point accumulation will resume when you
are active again.
2. Abnormal or excessive browsing. Our company
has launched a procedure that preserves the integrity of
our service and isolates legitimate traffic from system
abuse traffic. The procedure is based on a self-learning,
Artificial Intelligence algorithm that keeps track of the
individual Surfing-Usage Factor (SUF factor) of all members.
Each member has a SUF factor that is based on over 20 different
surfing parameters. The surfing parameters of EACH member
are compiled against the average surfing parameters of ALL
members. The statistical deviation analysis result determines
the personal SUF factor of each member. The personal SUF
factor value can vary from 0 to 100. If your personal SUF
factor is 50 or greater, our company will temporarily stop
granting points for your active surfing because your surfing-usage
behavior significantly deviates from the average surfing-usage
behavior of our members. To rectify your SUF factor you
must surf NATURALLY until our system updates your SUF factor
to become 49 or lower. The SUF factor is solely based on
the difference between your compiled historical surfing
pattern and the average surfing pattern of all members.
The SUF factor can be viewed in your account balance.
3. Hiding of the SpediaBar under another application
window.
4. Disabling cookies on your browser.
5. Bad connection and other technical problems.*
You do not need to click on ad banners in the SpediaBar
to accumulate points. In fact, excessive clicking of banners
in the SpediaBar is prohibited! (Click only on ads that
interest you.)
Disclaimer:
*Our
